The Mocs (16-2) had two easy wins over Florida Tech to start their series, but couldn't overcome a five run deficit and lost the finale. FSC can unequivocally prove their the number one team by taking care of buisiness against Ashland and Valdosta State this week. |

Southern Arkansas Muleriders
SAU (16-3) capped a three-game sweep in the Drury Heffington Invitational with a 15-4 win over St. Cloud State Sunday at Meador Park. The Muleriders shut out host Drury in a shortened mercy-rule game Friday and knocked off Missouri S&T on Saturday. |

Central Missouri University Mules
The Mules (13-1) completed a four-game sweep of Northwest Missouri State and are off to their best start in recorded school history. UCM visits rival Emporia State next week. What a showdown! Just like "Highladner": In the end there can only be one. |

Four wins over a Cal State East Bay team (that is better than their 5-13-1 record shows) for the Tritons (19-3) this week. UCSD will host Sonoma State for four next weekend. |

Grand Valley State Lakers
The Lakers (4-1) finally took to the diamond with five games last week. GVSU lost their opener to Quincy, but won a rematch and the first three of their spring trip to Florida. Contests with Tampa and Nebraska-Omaha await the Lakers this week. |

Emporia State Hornets
ESU (10-3) opened the week with a home loss to Wayne State but came back to convincingly take a series from Fort Hayes State three games to one in which they outscored FHSU 39-14. |

Franklin Pierce University Ravens
Franklin Pierce (4-1) won their first three games of the season by only allowing a single earned run in 27 innings. The Ravens' pitching continued to impress Sunday, but the bats fell silent as FPU lost a game 2-0 to Adelphi. |

Abilene Christian Wildcats
ACU (17-2) went 5-0 on the week with a win over St. Edward's and a sweep of East Central. The Wildcats outscored their opposition 42-6 in the five games. Two weeks until an on the road showdown with Delta State. |

Francis Marion Patriots
FMU (13-4) readied for their series with USC Aiken with a win over Coker, but the Pacers bested the Patriots two games to one in the premier DII matchup of the week. |

Valdosta State (17-5) played six games and won five of them. They started with wins over Flagler and Albany State and concluded with a series win over Shippensburg. VSU hosts Florida Southern next weekend. |

CSU (16-2) set a school record by recording their 14th and 15th straight victories in a doubleheader sweep of visiting Urbana. Their opponent for next weekend, Montevallo, has lost eight straight games. |

Mount Olive (17-1) finally lost a game as they were one-upped by Pfeiffer. Perhaps they were too tired from running around the bases after they obliterated Lake Erie 34-7 the day before. |

The Rams (10-3) won a series over UMass-Lowell, however the River Hawks have the cooler logo by far and can tout former MLB catcher Mike "Spanky" LaValliere as an alum. |

Tampa (15-5) established a new school record for runs as they pummeled Eckerd 37-1 victory on Saturday. Yet in their other two wins in the series sweep the Spartans prevailed by a single run. |

The Statesmen (13-5-1) had some tough luck last week which caused them to slip a few spots. DSU went 2-3 against North Alabama and West Florida. In their defense, each of their three losses being by a single run. |

The Pacers (11-7) has a lousy start of the season, but have won nine of their last ten. Two of those victories were last weekend in an impressive road series win over Francis Marion. |

The Wildcats (13-3) won the first three games over Cal Poly Pomona, but thanks to fundamental breakdowns on defense and on the base paths, Chico State couldn't complete the sweep. |

Ashland (4-3) was unimpressive as they won a game over Lock Haven, split a doubleheader with Slippery Rock and lost a matchup with Missouri-St. Louis. |

In their first action of the year, Dowling (2-2) split doubleheaders with New Haven and Southern New Hampshire. Both of the Golden Lion losses were by a single run. Dowling will host Dominican before heading to Florida for spring break baseball. |
