Last season, Ryan made the transition from starter to closer for the D&E hardballers. Not only did he move to the bullpen, he did it with style, as he set a school record with 10 saves; had an era of 2.57 to go along with his 3 – 1 record. With his help on the backside of the staff, the Senators made strides in 2009 by finishing second in the Central Division of the WVIAC and qualified for the conferences post season tournament. Since Ping!Baseball is all about college baseball and student athletes, we thought we'd mix in a little education with your information. Thus we present the 2010 Ping!Baseball Haiku Preview.
For the uninitiated, a haiku is a form of Japanese poetry consisting of three lines and a total of 17 syllables. The first and third lines are five syllables long and the second is seven.
