23. North Carolina Tar Heels (48-18)
UNC will have to reload after losing their best two hitters and pitchers to the professional ranks. The fall roster included sixteen newcomers who will take to the field in 2010, led by Brian Goodwin who was rated a top prep prospect by Baseball America and Dillon Hazlett who was a JC All American. Nonetheless, it won't be all freshman and transfers returning to the diamond. Ben Bunting (.336, 2, 27) and Levi Michael (.290, 13, 57) were a major reason UNC made it back to Omaha last season and will be back in the familiar Carolina blue. Additionally, plenty of pitchers who excelled in supporting roles such as Colin Bates (4-4, 3.15) and Patrick Johnson (2-2, 3.49) have the ability to step up and keep Carolina competitive once again.
