Despite an impressive resume, Dallas Baptist was on the outside looking in when Regional invites were handed out last season. Look for Austin Knight and the Patriots to remove any doubt this year and play late into the spring. You can follow Austin and his teammates' quest throughout the season by checking out his blog here.

CAL STATE FULLERTON titans
(41-22, 16-8)
final 2008 ranking: #10

The always competitive Titans went 0-2 in a Super Regional for the first time last season as they were bested by Stanford. The high octane Titan offense is almost completely in tact from last season which will make them a favorite to make it back to Omaha for the sixth time since 2001. Christain Colon (.329, 4, 39), Josh Fellhauer (.335, 7, 40) and Jared Clark (.294, 9, 53, 25 SB) helped lead Team USA to a 24-0 record over the summer and will be looking to parlay that success into the CSF victories this spring. The pitching staff retained a weekend starter in Daniel Renken (5-5, 4.11) who, along with Micahel Morrison (2-2, 4.14) and Jason Dovel (3-4, 5.32), could put up some big time numbers under another year of Dave Serrano’s Qui-Gon Jinn like tutelage.
