ARKANSAS razorbacks
(34-24, 14-15)
final 2008 ranking: NR

The Diamond Hogs did earn a regional berth last season, but won only 34 games last season, the least amount of victories since Coach Dave Van Horne returned to Arkansas. With a deep and experienced pitching staff led by Dallas Keuchel (4-3, 4.58), a Cape Cod League All Star over the summer, the Razorbacks should once again complete for 40 wins. Offensively, leading hitter Chase Leavitt (.366, 3, 25) made it to first base more times than VH1’s acclaimed pick-up artist, Mystery, finishing the season with a .518 on base percentage. He’ll be rejoined by Ben Tschepikow (.301, 1, 30) who led the team in doubles and triples and Brett Eibner (.298, 8, 48), who was also a value addition to the pitching staff, going 3-1 with a 4.50 ERA. Sophomore Andy Wilkins (.331, 8, 38) is poised to be the breakout bat that keeps the RBI Girls dancing in the aisles.
